CHAIRMAN’S LADDER INFORMATION – entry now open to 150 players

The 2014/5 Gent’s Chairman’s Ladder draws to a close with the dinner and presentation only 3 weeks away.

Russell Fryer continues to lead both Ladder and League with a remarkable sequence of results, winning 14 out of 15 matches with the only defeat coming on the 19th.  Russell defeated last year’s winner Stuart Silverlock 4 & 3 in atrocious conditions on Saturday as wind and rain blew across the course making good golf almost impossible.

Russell Fryer will face Jon Ogden, a re-match from week 10 when Jon Ogden won on the 19th , Russell’s only defeat in the competition.

There a host of quality players waiting for their chance to challenge the lead, Alan Ratcliffe in 4th position, Peter Azizi 5th , Chris Beech 7th and losing finalist in 2012, Chris Pardey in 10th position.

Russell requires one more win to secure the league and the ‘Mike Orminston Trophy’ with Stuart Silverlock now 6pts back on 37pts with Jon Ogden and James Gietzen on 35pts, Scott Ashton 34pts, Alan Ratcliffe 33pts and Peter Azizi on 32pts.

Big mover this week were James Gietzen 31 to 19 with James Dempsey now into 13th.

There were only two 2’s in total, paying Russel Fryer and Alistair Keith £105.00 each. (Stuart Duncan also achieved a 2, but didn’t enter 2’s)

Russell’s Fryer is now one win away from winning the league as he is now 6 points clear in the league.
